Larry C. Rexroat, 64, of Sheridan passed away August 4, 2018 at his home surrounded by family.

He was born February 19, 1954 in Casper, WY to Richard and Ruth (Hogan) Rexroat. He moved to Sheridan as a child and attended Holy Name Catholic School and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1973.

Larry attended Sheridan College before enlisting in the U.S. Navy. He served on the U.S.S. Coral Sea during the Vietnam War.

Larry married Nancy Badgett on Sept. 18, 1976 in Sheridan, and they were blessed with two daughters. Larry worked for Wyoming National Bank for several years, the State of Wyoming, and in construction.  His favorite job was his last, working at SSR Construction of Sheridan.

Larry was a past member of Masonic Lodge No. 43, Kalif Shrine, past Kiwanis president in Gillette, American Legion, Eastern Star OES Friendship Chapter #51, and past Assoc. Guardian Bethel #5. He enjoyed fishing and being a handyman around the house.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, Rusty. Larry is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughters Shannon Dutcher (Craig) of Casper and Nanna Rexroat-Frazier (Chris) of Riverton; grandsons Brady, Jackson and Corbin Dutcher; and granddaughter Alaina Dutcher.  He is also survived by father Richard (Effie) of Sheridan; brothers Richard (Donna) of Aurora, CO and Pat (Carrie) of Tucson, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation, PO Box 391, Sheridan, WY 82801 or Hospice of the Big Horns, PO Box 391, Sheridan, WY  82801. A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at a later date.
