We knew Joe when we lived in Sheridan. Joe was friendly, not pretentious, and helped everyone. We need more Joe's in our world. He was thoughtful, bright, caring, creative, and gentle. We have a special needs son. After we moved from Sheridan, Joe always sent a birthday card and a gift to our son. He sent us many holiday cards. This was a special person and he brightened many peoples lives. Sheri and Larry Roos, Loveland, CO

Gray, Sherry and the Laughton Family, I was saddened to hear of Joe's passing. He was indeed a wonderful man. He was one of the first persons I met in Sheridan when Joyce and I moved up here from Rock Springs, WY. I always enjoyed talking with Joe at coffee or where ever I ran into him in town. I will miss him. My heart goes out to his close and loving family. May the Lord love and comfort you always. Greg and Joyce Coates

Our sincere condolences to the family of Joe. It was a privilege to know Joe and always a joy to have a conversation with him. He touched many lives including mine. I still have some of his note cards and love using them. He was very special. You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time.

Gary, Sherry & family...I was saddened to hear of your father's passing. He was a such a great friend, mentor, teacher & guiding light to my sister Shirley Malyurek for so many years. She sadly passed in 2015 but I know she will be reunited with her dear Mr. Laughton whom she loved so much. I can't say thank you enough for sharing him with us all for so many years. He will be sorely missed.

Joe was the very definition of what being a gentleman means. He was stimulated by so many things and so many people. We should all lead our lives half as well.
