Betty Jo (Bette) Adams, 87, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2015 of natural causes at her home in Sheridan. She was born August 1, 1928 to Harry Eaton and Virginia G. Eaton in Milliken, CO. The family moved to Wyoming in 1933. Her father passed one year later. Sometime after that her mother married Hubert Barrett. Betty attended a country school until going to high school in Wheatland, WY.
She married Chuck Campbell in 1946 and to this union, 4 children were born, Michael Lee, Connie Kay, Dixie Lynn, and Judy Jo. She later married Marshall (Pinky) Worthington and they had 1 son, Monty O. (Bud). In 1968, she married Bob Adams. They were married for 26 years until he passed in 1994. Her companion of 20 years, Jerry Page, was at her side when she passed.
Betty had many jobs through her life. She liked to work and tried her hand at many opportunities that came her way, including farmer, rancher, LPN, cook, truck driver, medical assistant, and dental assistant. She dearly loved animals, especially dogs, cats and horses. Each one was special to her.
She was a member of the Sheridan Horse Patrol, Blue Sky Saddle Club, Wyotana Chariot & Racing Association, NE Wyoming Draft Horse and Mule Association and served on the Board of Sheridan County Rodeo Association.
She is survived by her 5 children, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great- great grandchild.
