On July 13th 2015, Donald A. King passed away peacefully at the age of 92 of natural causes while being comforted by his family members at his Son’s home in Helena, Montana. Dad, your gentle soul, wisdom and sound advice will always be cherished.
Donald Aloysius King was born to George and Cora King in Cottonwood, South Dakota on January 20, 1923.
He graduated from Black Hills College in Spearfish, South Dakota with a Bachelor of Science Degree and later received his Masters Degree in Education from the University of Montana.
He served his country in the Army Aircorps during World War II. Don married Marie K. (Musso) King who he loved and adored on June 16, 1952 at the Catholic Church in Newcastle, Wyoming.
Don was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family. He was an avid reader and sports enthusiast who’s favorite question was “does this TV have EPSN?
One of his favorite things to discuss was the changes in technology. Most remarkable to him was the changes of the telephone to the cell phone and to the smart phone. To him face timing was like the Jetson’s cartoon coming to life.
Don’s greatest accomplishments in his life are his family: Mike (Theresa) King, Helena, MT; Michelle (Eric) Johnson, Driggs, ID; JoEllen (Paul) Reichstadt, Inver Grove Heights, MN; Steve King (Beverly Zatlo), Leander, TX; Kristi (Ken) Hugulet, Whitehall, MT; and Donna (Mike) Brozovich, Spring Creek, NV; Surviving brother, George King; Grandchildren, Ryan (Heather) King; Maggie (Boone) Nelson; Paul Reichstadt, Misheala Brozovich, Emily Reichstadt, Kenzie Hugulet, Keara Hugulet; Great Grandchildren, Grace King, Brendan Nelson, Ava King, Madi Nelson, Landon King, and Killian King. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and many family members.

Services are as follows: Viewing begins at 6 PM, Friday, July 17, 2015 with the Rosary following at 7 PM at Champion Funeral Home. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Holy Name Catholic Church with military burial to follow at the Elks Cemetery.
