Donald Rex Wolfe, 84, of Sheridan, WY died Saturday, August 17, 2013, in the V.A. Medical Center, Sheridan.

Rex was born February 25, 1929 in Sheridan to Sam & Garland (Rutter) Wolfe.

Rex grew up and graduated from high school in Sheridan (class of 1947). He served in the U.S. Army and was discharged in January, 1953. After the service, he attended the University of Wyoming and graduated with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering in 1957. Rex went to work as a registered Civil Engineer for the Arizona Dept. of Transportation. In 1979, he resigned as Asst. District Engineer and returned to Sheridan. He married Gloria Kramer and she died in 1981. He married Donna Uzelac in 1985 and she died in October, 2012. Rex worked for the Sheridan School Distict 2 for four years and was the initial lead custodian for the original Meadowlark School. He enjoyed the children at the school. He retired in 1994.

Rex was also preceded in death by his twin brother Robert, sister Mary Green.

Rex is survived by his step children Jaye, Joe and John Uzelac of Billings, MT; sister-in-law Barbara Wolfe; nephews Mike & Steve Wolfe, niece Karin Aucherman and nephews Dick, Jim, Sam and Mike Green.

A celebration of Rex's life will be 1:00pm on Friday (Aug. 23rd) in Elks Lodge #520, Sheridan. Inurnment of cremains will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
