Doris A. Gerhold, 85, of Buffalo, WY died Tuesday, October 21, 2014, in Johnson County Health Care Center, Buffalo, WY.
Doris was born June 2, 1929, in Johnsville, Maryland to Ross & Sarah Myers.
Doris grew up in Maryland and graduated high school in Fredrick, MD. She graduated from Maryland General Hospital School of Nursing in 1950. Doris married Melvin Gerhold on September 14, 1952 in Maryland. She worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Baltimore for ten years until moving to Nebraska in 1972. She worked in the Chadron Hospital until she retired in 1995. After retirement, they moved to Buffalo to be closer to family. Doris was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and loved her family and grandchildren.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents, her sister and her brother.
Doris is survived by her husband Melvin; sons Kurt (Cindy) Gerhold of Sheridan, WY and Eric (Robin) Gerhold of Gillette, WY; five grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be 11:00am on Saturday (Oct. 25th) from St. Luke's Lutheran Church with Pastor Alena Lamirato officiating.
Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home, Sheridan.
