Marlene Bray Cline, 79, of Dayton, WY passed away early Sunday morning, March 9, 2014, in Westview Health Care Center, Sheridan, WY
Funeral service will be 2:00pm Thursday (Mar. 13th) from Champion Ferries Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Keller officiating. Interment will be 11:00am on Friday in Mount Hope Cemetery, Lander, WY with Pastor Ron Clapp officiating. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
Marlene was born one of three children to George and Bessie(Scuffie) Bray, on Sept. 28, 1934 in Tonapah, Nevada.
She grew up on the family ranch in the Sherman Mountains out of Elko, Nevada.
On Dec. 6, 1951, she married her "cowboy" Harold Joseph Cline on the ranch at Sherman. They started their life on the Sadler Ranch in Elko County.
In 1963 she moved with her husband and 3 children to Pinedale, WY, working for the Budd Hereford ranch and later to Muddy Gap to work for the Matador Cattle Co. She worked alongside Harold on the ranches, loving every aspect of ranch life and raising their children was one of her biggest joys. She was a true ranch woman, completely devoted to God, her family, the livestock and land.
After Harold passed away in 199;7, Marlene stayed in their home at Jeffrey City for a while and eventually moved to Dayton, WY to be closer to her family and lived there until her death.
Survivors include 2 sons, Ben(Pam) Cline of Encampment, WY and Jess(Dana) Cline of Ranchester, WY; daughter Paula (Tom) Cash of Kaycee, WY; one sister Lorraine Sestanovich of Battle Mountain, NV; grandchildren, Joel Cline, Stephanie Malcolm, Cody Snyder, Troy Cash; Cassie Coffin, Jess B. Cline, Joshua Lobo; 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, younger sister and parents.
