Norman T. Atter

Norman Thomas Atter, 86, passed away August 2, 2014 at the Johnson County Hospital.
Norman was born May 22, 1928, in South Heart, North Dakota to parents Lee Atter and Jean (Finger) Atter. The Atter family lived in North Dakota until they moved to Minneapolis.
Norman married Dolores Topel on April 15, 1950 in Minneapolis, MN.
Norman enjoyed motorcycling, snow machining, fishing, hunting, and family get-togethers at their cabin in the mountains. He worked as a general contractor and mason all his life and also raised registered horned Hereford cattle. Norman was a 4-H club leader for many years and was a member of the Lions Club and the Elks. He was well known for his great sense of humor.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Wayne Atter of Seattle, WA.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores; children Burton (wife Cyndi), Todd (wife Mary), and Colleen Atter Calero; one grandson, Edward; one brother, Warren; and one sister, Tonie Lewis.
Cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held at a later date.
Memorials to honor Norman may be made to the Sheridan Senior Center Day Care Program.
