About:

Richard Keith (Greek) Storey of Sheridan, WY passed away January 10, 2014 at the V.A. Medical Center, Sheridan, Wyoming.
Keith was born March 22, 1934 in Jordan Montana to Leslie and Aileen (Sanders) Storey. During Keith's younger years he worked on the family ranch where he developed a love for animals (mainly pigs). It was on the family ranch where Keith nursed many animals back to health.
After grade school he attended Sacred Heart High School in Miles City Montana. It was there that he met the love of his life, Rosemary; the two were married in 1955. In High School, Keith enjoyed football, boxing, and hunting rabbits with his father. After high school he attended the Presentation School of Nursing in Miles City Montana where he received his Registered Nursing Degree.
While vacationing in Sheridan, Keith fell in love with the beauty of the Big Horn Mountains. He quickly moved his family to Sheridan to start his nursing career at the VA Hospital, where he worked for 30 years. Keith served as a Captain in the United States Army. During the Vietnam Conflict he was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington and Soul, Korea. After he was honorably discharged from the Army he returned to Sheridan to resume his career at the VA Hospital until he retired in 1990.
Keith enjoyed many different activities involving skiing, hunting, fishing, bowling, and woodworking. He also enjoyed gardening so much that he took classes to become a Master Gardener. Additionally, Keith loved spending time with friends and family at the family cabin in the Big Horn Mountains and traveling the states for recreation and family visits. Keith was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and the Elks Lodge.
Keith truly loved the Sheridan area and all that it has to offer. He will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, warm heart, and compassionate sprit.
He is preceded in death by his Mother, Father and infant sister.
He is survived by his Wife (Rosemary); 4 sisters Diane Schmidt, Carol (Bill) Nichols, Janice Hallstead, Sharon (John) Hopper; 3 Children Mike (Sue) Storey, Teri Williams, Mark (Sandra) Storey; 7 grandchildren Jolene Williams, Amie Williams, Mathew (Stephanie) Williams, Melissa (Will) Holfeltz, Ann Storey, Jessica (Aaron) Odom, Brenna Storey and 10 great grandchildren, Tyler Gardiner, Camden Gardiner, Kaela Trollip, Riley Piche, Paxton Williams, Eli Holfeltz, Mason Holfeltz, Bowen Holfeltz, Michael Odom, Ethan Odom.
Vigil service will be 7:00pm on Wednesday (Jan. 15th) from Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
Funeral Liturgy will be 10:00am on Thursday from Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Louis Shea officiating. Interment will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery with Military Honors by the American Legion and the Wyoming National Guard.  Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
Memorials may benefit the Sheridan Senior Citizen's Center, 211 Smith St., Sheridan.
