Robert E. Grimmer, Sr., of Sheridan, Wyoming, died quietly Monday, October 7, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Grimmer was born February 11, 1942 in Woodbury, New Jersey to Oscar Walter and Mary Ellen (Collins) Grimmer. He grew up in Collingswood, New Jersey, where he attended James A. Garfield Elementary, graduated from Collingswood High School, then attended Drexel University and Dobins Vocational School.
Bob married Joyce M. Montague in Hadden Heights, New Jersey May 12, 1962.
Bob was a rancher and a sheet metal worker, and was the original owner of J. B. Sheet Metal Company in Sheridan.
He was a member of the Big Horn Mountain Eagles Aerie #4169 and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, ham radio, and motorcycling, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce, of Sheridan, Wyoming; two sons, Robert Grimmer, Jr., and wife Carrie, of San Clemente, California, and Randall Grimmer and wife Jeanette, of Sheridan, Wyoming; one brother, James F. Grimmer and wife Michelle, of Cape May Courthouse, New Jersey; two sisters, Jacqueline Lawrence and husband Frank, of Wells, Maine, and Susan Paul of Vincentown, New Jersey; three grandchildren, Ashley Bush and husband Eddie, Carly Grimmer, and Courtney Martinez and husband Manuel; four great grandchildren, Rorak and Kaiolynn Bush, and Callie and Suzie Martinez.
Memorial service for Mr. Grimmer will be 1:00 P. M. Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Champion Ferries Funeral Home in Sheridan, Wyoming with Deacon John Bigelow, Jr. officiating. A luncheon will be held at the Big Horn Mountain Eagles, 1760 Commercial Lane, Sheridan, immediately after the service. There will be a motorcycle procession led by the Eagles Riders from the funeral home to the Big Horn Mountain Eagles Aerie #4169 and anyone is welcome to participate. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
