Vernon D. Ottema: SHERIDAN — Mass of the Christian burial for Vernon D. Ottema, 88, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, at the Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Robert Rodgers officiating with military honors accorded. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today, Jan. 11, 2018, at the church. He died Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at the Sheridan V. A. Medical Center. Mr. Ottema served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
