William Horace Porter Sr.: SHERIDAN — A memorial service for William Horace Porter, Sr., 89, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018, at the First Presbyterian Church, 2121 Colonial Dr. in Sheridan, with the Rev. Paul Hayden officiating. A luncheon will follow in the Fellowship Hall. Inurnment will be at Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. He died Thursday, June 28, 2018, at the Sheridan VA Medical Center. He served in the U.S. Army. Champion Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to those organizations supported by Bill or to any of the donor’s choice.
