William Weatherford, 71, of Sheridan, WY died Friday, June 14, 2013, in his Sheridan home.

Bill was born July 1, 1941, in Mt. Vernon, Indiana to Raymond & Martha (Eaton) Weatherford.

Bill grew up in Indiana and Texas. He moved from Texas to New Mexico where he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1961. After the service, he lived in several places working as a machinist. He worked in Billings, MT and Gillette, WY before coming to Sheridan in the1980's. Bill worked forty years as a machinist and retired from IPG in 2007. Bill was a life member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, four wheeling, yard work and being in the mountains.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and infant son Bill, Jr.

Bill is survived by his companion Sylvia Deutsch of Sheridan; daughters Kathy (Terry Register and Debbie Weatherford of Texas; brothers Raymond of Tennessee, Larry (Patricia) of Big Horn, WY, James (Rhoda) of Colorado and Richard (Sheryl) of Tennessee; sisters Geraldine (Dean) Forgerson of Texas, Nancy Wattenburger of Oklahoma and Cynthia (Jim) Vick of Texas; extended family Chris (Terena) Deutsch, Paul (Helen) Deutsch and Raymond Deutsch; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be private. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
