Frank Sajec III

About:

Our Loving Father Frank Sajec III, 86, passed away in the comfort of his home at Elmcroft in Sheridan, Wyoming surrounded by his family on February 10, 2019.
Dad moved to Elmcroft shortly after losing the love of his life June Laverne Sajec to Ahlzeimers. He was such a wonderful caregiver to our mother. We are so happy he will be reunited in Heaven with her and our brother Patrick Sajec and his two grandsons who are also deceased Christopher & Ryan Sajec.
Dad was born to Mary and Frank Sajec on October 6, 1932, in Duluth, Minnesota where he has raised with two sisters Fran and Maryanne and one brother Larry. Frank attended Catholic School until he went into the military and was a veteran of the Korean War. Dad was very proud to serve in the military and has always been very patriotic and was a lifelong member of VFW and Elks Lodge #520 in Sheridan, Wyoming. Dad still supports the Wounded Warrior Project to help Veterans.
After serving in the Military Dad married our Mother in June of 1955 and worked hard to raise his four children. Dad worked as a Mining Engineer and also taught Electricity in vocational classes. Our father traveled extensively within the United States and internationally. He helped build the biggest Dragline known as the Big Muskie in Ohio. One of his favorite jobs before retirement was living in Australia where my mother was able to join him.
Dad also loved golfing and watching baseball. His favorite team was the Chicago Cubs and we remember him saying, “I can die now because the Chicago Cubs finally won the World Series”. We also know that Dad was a very generous and giving person by listening to all his friend’s stories. He also volunteered at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

A special heartfelt thank you for all the wonderful attention Dad was given at Elmcroft for the past years. The nursing staff, Certified Nurse’s Aides and management are so kind and caring. We would also like to thank Hospice for their time with Dad during the last months of his life. We would also like to thank all of the wonderful friends he made at Elmcroft.

A graveside service will be held April 22nd,2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Sheridan Municipal Cemetery where he can be buried with our mother at the Elks Cemetery. Pastor Doug Goodwin will be officiating the service.

Thank You, Dad & Grandpa, for all the wonderful times. We will miss you! Pam & Roger, Jeff & Kim, Mike & Trudy, Jared & Jennifer, and Avery & Adalyn.
