Julester Grant

About:

Julester Grant, 83, of Sheridan, WY was called home to the Lord on the night of April 13, 2014.

Julester was born in Denver, CO on August 25, 1930. By the age of 4 years old, Julester moved to Sheridan where she was raised by her Aunt Minnie and Uncle Charles Askew. When she was 20, she moved to San Francisco, CA where she married her beloved husband Laverne Grant and they brought four daughters into the world (Anna, Diana, Iris and Jacqueline). Later, Julester and Laverne decided to move back to Sheridan where they lived out their retirement years. Their loving union lasted 53 years. Julester studied to be a concert pianist, at the age of 15 she was a cook on a dude ranch in Sheridan, a Girl Scout leader. She loved jazz concerts, chocolates, animals, raising her granddaughter (Tatiana Hom) since the age of six month and spending with her family and friends.

Julester is survived by three daughters, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Julester was preceded in death by her husband Laverne, first daughter Anna Grant, first grandson Laverne Russell, her younger sister Dorothy June Phillips and cousins.

Visitation will be 11:00am until 3:00pm on Monday (April 21st) from Champion Ferries Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00am on Tuesday from Champion Ferries Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Zeigler officiating. Interment will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
