Michael Thomas Putnam
Michael Putnam was born on August 11, 1955 in Corona, CA to Allan and Norma Putnam. He grew up as a military child and lived all around the United States and attended many schools.
Following his High School graduation in 1974, Michael joined the US Navy and served 3 separate service times for a total of 12 years of Naval service. After the events of 9/11 Michael joined the Army National Guard and served for 4 years before ultimately becoming employed by the Veterans Health Administration from which he retired in 2019.
Michael was the proud father of Veronica Lee Putnam who survives him here in Sheridan, Mike’s home of the last 18 years. Michael loved art and painting, was a poet and an accomplished musician; his music can be heard at www.reverbnation.com/thekurve.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the humanitarian organization, Samaritan’s Purse at www.samaritanspurse.org.
A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Champion Funeral Home with Chaplain Derek Schultz officiating. Interment will take place at 9 am on Monday, July 17, 2023 at Oregon Trail National Cemetery in Evansville, WY. Champion Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.
