Orvella (Warner) Burris, 72, of Sheridan, passed away September 5, 2019 at her home in Sheridan,WY. Orvella and her husband Jim just celebrated 52 years of marriage on August 27th.
Orvella was born on April 22, 1947 to Orville and LaVonne Warner in Topeka, Kansas. She and her family moved to Sheridan when she was five. She attended High School in Sheridan and Bozeman, MT, she continued her education at Sheridan College and the University of Wyoming.
Orvella worked for many years at the Sheridan Half-Way House as a Substance Abuse Counselor and later at the Sheridan Manor as a Social Worker. She spent most of her life giving selflessly to others, always putting the needs before hers.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jim Burris, her sons, Phil (Karla), Andy (Brandi), her brothers, Bill (Leslie) Warner, Tom Warner, her grandchildren, Shiella, Joe, Sean (Phil), Mariah and Fisher (Andy), her extended family and very close friends.
A service for friends and family will be held at her Home in Sheridan, WY, on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 2 PM with a Potluck immediately following the service.
